STATEMENT ON THE DEATH CASE OF A CIVILIAN AT BARRACKPORE CANTONMENT
It has been reported to the Army authorities that an unnatural death took place on the night of 19/20 Jun 2023 in the residence of Lt Col Koushik Sarbadhikary at Mandaly Complex in Barrackpore Cantonment. The deceased has been identified as Ms. Pragyadeepa Halder.
Lt Col Sarbadhikary is posted with Base Hospital, Barrackpore. The officer was taken into custody by the police on 23 Jun 2023 for investigations.
All support is being extended by the Army to the police authorities in the investigation process.
