TRAIN MOVEMENT VIA UP SUBURBAN LINE BETWEEN SEALDAH & DUM DUM JN CONTROLLED FOR BANK SUBSIDENCE
• Train Movement Between Sealdah & Dum Dum Jn Maintained Via Up Main Line

Kolkata, August 2, 2023:
A landslide was observed along Up Suburban Track at a place between Kakurgachhi Cabin and Bidhannagar Road station at about 5:45 hrs today. As a sequel to this train movement between Sealdah and Dum Dum Jn stations via Up Suburban Line has been controlled and all Up trains are diverted & run via Up Main Line. As a sequel to this, 5 pairs of EMU locals had to be cancelled so far.

Restoration work is in progress. Maintenance staff and stone dust have been sent to the site to repair the bank subsidence.

Morning peak hour train services in Sealdah Main Line Section may be delayed till the completion of the restoration work. The inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regretted.

Up Suburban Line between Sealdah and Kakurgachhi made for train movements at 9:40 hrs and afterward train movements via Up Suburban Line between Sealdah and Dum Dum Jm resumed at a restricted speed.
