Starmanch’s New Song “Swadhinata” on Independence Day

12th August 2023, Kolkata:

Starmanch, India’s first karaoke app, will release its upcoming song “Swadhinata” on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day Celebration. The song is sung by singer Madhuri Dey and the song is composed by Ashu Chakraborty and lyricist Rajib Chakraborty. The audio and the video of the song will be available from 14th August, 2023 on all the digital and social platforms of Starmanch.

This song was composed for children who are still working in child labour throughout India. With the support of the entire team this time Starmanch came up with a song dreaming of Freedom and sending out a resounding message that one must act now to end child labour.

“The song Swadhinata captures the essence of child labour today. Even though it is the 76th anniversary of Independence Day, we still don’t feel mentally free. This song encourages people to cease using children as labourers while also spreading the idea that people should develop their mental and physical independence in this new environment. I feel compelled to participate in this song because I perform, and I’d want to add that this song will thrive when we can all make this society truly significant.” said Ms Madhuri Dey, singer.

“Starmanch’s focus has always been on creating Bengali music. We also produced a song on freedom last year that discussed the dream of immigrants—their freedom. This year our song reflects a child’s ambition for the future and his desire to become independent through education. These days, one thing that is frequently heard is stand-by Bengali tunes. However, we want Bengali music to set everyone free mentally so that all the darkness is washed away by the tune and the love.” said Mr. Randeep Bhattacharya, CEO, Starmanch.
