GENERAL MANAGER INSPECTS MAJERHAT METRO STATION OF PURPLE LINE

Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway inspected the Majerhat Metro station of Joka-Esplanade Corridor (Purple Line) today i.e. on 10.11.2023. Shri Reddy started the inspection of Majerhat station this morning where Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) officials explained to him the progress of work in recent times and their planning to complete all pending works within the stipulated deadline. Shri Reddy inspected the passenger interchanging points with Majerhat station of Eastern Railway, Property Development Unit, platform level, proposed site of AFC-PC gates, viaduct, etc.
After the inspection, Shri Reddy held a high-level meeting with Shri Amit Ray, ED/RVNL, senior Metro and RVNL officials where he instructed concerned officials to complete the planned work as per schedule.
Once commissioned Majerhat Metro station will be catering to thousands of people in and around Kolkata.
Shri Reddy also inspected the work of the Majerhat-Mominpur stretch of the Purple Line alongwith Shri V. K. Srivastava, Principal Chief Engineer and AGM, Metro Railway, and other senior Metro and RVNL officials.
Reviewing the Majerhat Metro work, the General Manager expressed his satisfaction and advised all to finish the work at the earliest.
