METRO RAILWAY RECRUITING STAFF IN TRANSPARENT WAY

If somebody is looking for government sector jobs, the Indian Railways is one of the best options for them. Every year Indian Railways announces thousands of vacancies and recruitments are made through 21 RRBs, 16 RRCs in various Gr. C and Gr. D posts.
Metro Railway, albeit tiny in size, has carved a niche in the hearts of the people of Kolkata and adjoining areas since its journey commencing right from 1984. The untiring and peerless efforts of Metro Railway have gone a long way to achieve the distinction of lifeline of the City of Joy.
Over a period of time, new infrastructure and state-of -the-art technology have been added on a sustained and continuous basis to Metro, which have made it a robust and sturdy mode of transportation for passengers ensuring safety and security.
For running the Kolkata Metro in a smooth manner, Metro Railway has put emphasis on recruitment of efficient staff in different categories through Railway Recruitment Board and Railway Recruitment cell. It not only helps Metro Railway but also contributes a lot to ease out the unemployment problem.
From 2014 to 2023, recruitments through the Railway Recruitment Board have taken place in different categories. A total of 750 candidates have been recruited in the following categories:
(i) Traffic Asst. (ii) Sr. Section Engineer/P.WAY (III) Junior Engineer (iv) Traffic Asst. (v) Technician (v) Junior and Senior Clerk Cum Typist (vi) Depot Material Superintendent
Since 2014, a total of 129 candidates have been recruited through the Railway Recruitment Cell in the following categories.
(1) Helper/Elect. (2) Track Maintainer Grade IV (3) Asst. Pointsman (4) Helper/S&T (5) Hospital Asst.
Metro Railway has been recruiting the efficient staff for ensuring better services for the common people. Filling up of the vacancies through RRB and RRC ensures transparency and probity to the recruitment process.
It is to be noted that Kolkata Metro recruits only through RRB and RRC for its different non-gazetted posts. For getting an appointment in Kolkata Metro, no money is required as the transparent selection process for an appointment is followed here. Everybody is requested not to get into the trap of fake job racketeers.
