REDEVELOPMENT WORK AT SHANTIPUR RAILWAY STATION UNDER AMRIT BHARAT STATION SCHEME

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division is committed to improve the ambience and amenities at different stations across the zone, ensuring a world-class experience for passengers. Shantipur Station to Undergo Transformation Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The Revamped station will provide world-class amenities and enhanced passenger experience. In this re-development initiative every details of progress is inspected at highest level. This vision is to modernize and revitalize Shantipur Railway station to transform the station into a present day economic hub is making substantial strides in its mission with continuous and untiring efforts of Eastern Railway , Sealdah Division’s Gati Shakti unit right from the launch of Amrit Bharat scheme by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on August 6, 2023.
The comprehensive redevelopment plan includes the following key initiatives:• Enhanced station building with modern amenities and facilities

Work details of Shantipur Station:
Flooring: Covering an expansive 6000 sqm area, the station’s flooring will undergo a significant upgrade to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal.
PF Shed: A modern, spacious PF Shed covering 480 sqm will be constructed to provide shelter and convenience for passengers awaiting their trains.
Circulating Area: A sprawling 1500 sqm circulating area will be meticulously planned to facilitate smooth and efficient passenger movement within the station premises.
Seating Area: With a provision for 200 sleek and comfortable sitting chairs, passengers can look forward to a relaxing and convenient waiting experience.
Façade Uplifting Work: The station’s façade will undergo a comprehensive uplifting process, enhancing its visual appeal and reflecting the modern essence of the redevelopment project.
Waiting Area: A designated waiting area will be established, providing passengers with a comfortable and convenient space while awaiting their trains.
Toilet Upgradation: The station’s restroom facilities will undergo significant improvements to ensure hygiene, accessibility, and comfort for all passengers.
