Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway made an extensive inspection of Kavi Subhash station of Blue Line as well as Orange Line today i.e. on 12.12.2023. He inspected the passenger interchanging arrangements between Blue and Orange Lines. He also inspected Train Timing Indication Boards (TTIB), Platforms, Ticket Counters, AFC-PC gates, staircases, lifts, and escalators of the newly built Kavi Subhash station of Orange Line. Shri Reddy also held a meeting with senior officers of Metro Railway here and instructed them to take all possible steps for the introduction of commercial services on this stretch up to Hemanta Mukhopadhyay at the earliest.

Trial runs were also conducted today on the Kavi Subhash – Hemanta Mukhopadhyay stretch of the Orange Line in order to keep machineries and staff ready for the commercial services. As this 5.4- KM stretch of Kavi Subhash to Jai Hind (Airport) via Rajarhat Project is ready for commissioning, these trial runs are necessary for the preparation.

During the trial runs, 5 round trips were made with a Medha AC rake to check tracks, power supply, proper docking of rake, response of the station staff, etc.
