SPECIAL METRO SERVICES TO BE OPERATED IN BLUE LINE ON 21.09.2025 (SUNDAY) ON THE OCCASION OF MAHALAYA
Kolkata, Date 18.09.2025:
Metro Railway will run Special Services in Blue Line on the occasion of ‘Mahalaya’ i.e. on 21.09.2025 (Sunday). On that day 182 services (91 UP and 91 DN) will be operated instead of normal Sunday 130 services. Out of these, 173 services will be operated to and from Dakshineswar.
The first Metro services from Noapara, Dakshineswar and Dum Dum Metro stations will be available at 06.50 hrs.,06.55 hrs.and 06.55 hrs. respectively in the DN direction. From Mahanayak Uttam Kumar and Shahid Khudiram Metro stations first Metro services will be available at 06.55 hrs. and 06.54 hrs. respectively in the UP direction.
The time schedule of the last services will however, remain unchanged on that day.
To avoid long queues, commuters are requested to use Digital mode of ticketing like Smart Cards and Mobile QR tickets which comes with 5% bonus/rebate if booked via app or at the time of recharge. They are also requested to download the ‘AAMAR KOLKATA METRO’ app to book their tickets or recharge Smart Cards anytime to avoid long queues at booking counters to save time. Passengers are also requested to follow the instructions made through the Public Address System by on-duty staff.
