Indian Army Soldiers Finish Strong at Ironman 70.3 Goa

Soldiers from the Indian Army delivered outstanding performances at the Ironman 70.3 Goa, showcasing exceptional endurance, discipline and the hallmark resilience of the fauji spirit. All three athletes are currently posted at ASC Centre and College, Bengaluru, and have brought pride to the institution and the Army.
Major Aditya Bisht completed the challenging 1.9 km swim, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km run in an impressive 6 hours 18 minutes, demonstrating remarkable consistency and mental strength throughout the course.
Major Aditya Yadav also put up a strong performance, finishing the race in 6 hours 36 minutes, reflecting his commitment to fitness and his ability to push through physical and psychological barriers.
In the standout performance of the day, Sepoy Samadhan Babasaheb Thorat clocked a superb time of 5 hours 28 minutes, earning a coveted qualification slot for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship to be held in France in September 2026. His achievement marks a significant milestone and highlights the growing presence of Indian soldiers in global endurance sports.
