UNACCOUNTED CASH WORTH RS. 38 LAKH RECOVERED UNDER ‘OPERATION SATARK’

“Operation Satark” aims to take action against, transporting any item through the railway network for the purpose of tax evasion or smuggling or commission of crime, or acts of terror. As part of their ‘Operation SATARK ‘, officials of Crime Prevention and Detection Squad Team/Howrah, Crime Intelligence Branch & Railway Protection Force /Howrah (North) apprehended 01 people namely Manish Seth and recovered liquid cash amounting to Rs.3800000/- (Thirty-Eight Lac) from his possession from Plat Form No. 08 of Howrah Railway Station recently.
The detained person failed to produce any supporting documents against his possession of such huge cash. The recovered Cash from an apprehended person was handed over to the GRPS/Howrah for further course of action.
