STEPS TAKEN BY EASTERN RAILWAY TO IMPROVE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

Eastern Railway continuously striving hard to improve customer satisfaction. As a token of this commitment in the month of January, 2024, Eastern Railway has taken several steps for passengers’ comfort. These include a variety of items like augmentation of coaches in different trains, introduction of new trains, extension of trains, new stoppages, and conversion from ICF to LHB rake.
A total of 415 coaches have been temporarily augmented in different trains to clear the extra rush and also to accommodate more passengers. Two new trains, 13189/13190 Sealdah – Balurghat Express and 13333/13334 Patna – Dumka Express were introduced in January, 2024. 18617/18618 Ranchi – New Giridih Express has been extended up to Madhupur. 13413/13414 Malda – Delhi Jn. Express has been extended up to Bathinda. 13483/13484 Malda – Delhi Jn. Express has also been extended up to Bathinda.
Moreover, 13023/13024 Howrah – Gaya Express & 13235/13236 Sahibganj – Danapur Express have been provided stoppage at Mirza Chauki. 11447 Howrah – Jabalpur Express & 18619/18620 Ranchi – Godda Express have been provided stoppage at Barakar. 13403/13404 Ranchi -Bhagalpur Express has been provided stoppage at Dubrajpur. 13433/13434 Malda Town – SMVT Bengaluru Express has been provided a stoppage at Pakur.
In addition to these, 2 rakes of 13145/13146 Kolkata – Radhikapur Express have been converted from ICF to LHB, thus augmenting the passenger comfort to a great extent.
