TELEPHONE CONNECTIVITY INSIDE UNDER THE RIVER TUNNELS OF EAST-WEST METRO UPGRADED

Good news for all the Metro commuters!
Metro services from Howrah Maidan to the Esplanade stretch of the East-West Metro have become very popular among commuters. Thousands of passengers have been using this route daily to reach their destinations in and around the city every day comfortably as well as in less time. For their convenience, all the stations of Green Line-2 are replete with all modern passenger amenities. New amenities are also being added regularly in order to make Metro’s journey under the river more pleasant.
To ensure uninterrupted telephone connectivity for Metro commuters below the river Hooghly, necessary infrastructure has already been set up on this stretch between Howrah Maidan to Esplanade. After Bharti Airtel, now telecom giant Reliance Jio has installed high-capacity nodes at each station on this 4.8 km stretch from Howrah Maidan to Esplanade to provide its services. As a result, like Green Line-1, Metro commuters have now been able to enjoy 5G speeds, uninterrupted voice calls, and data transmission which in turn enhances their commuting experience on this stretch. It allows them to stay connected and remain productive even while commuting in the Metro.
