EASTERN RAILWAY’S HOSPITALS CELEBRATES NATIONAL DOCTORS’ DAY

National Doctors’ Day is celebrated on July 1st (since 1991) in India to honour the birth and death anniversary of the renowned physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Dr. Roy is remembered for his contribution to the medical field and his commitment to the welfare of the people. This day serves as a reminder of the selfless service and dedication of medical professionals who work tirelessly to ensure the health and well-being of the nation.
To commemorate Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Eastern Railway’s hospitals celebrated National Doctors’ Day to pay homage to this great son. On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day and the birth anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the Medical Director of B. R. Singh Hospital paid homage to the portrait of Dr. B. C. Roy in the presence of other doctors and staff of B. R. Singh Hospital. A blood donation camp was also organised at the B. R. Singh Hospital auditorium to mark the occasion.
Kanchrapara Workshop Railway Hospital also celebrated National Doctors’ Day. To commemorate this day, a blood grouping camp was organised at the hospital. Blood grouping determination of a total number of 89 persons was done for enlisting future donors.
Doctors’ Day was also celebrated today at Orthopaedic Hospital Howrah to pay tribute to Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. The day was marked with various programmes, including recitations, songs, dances, and musical performances.
Liluah Workshop Railway Hospital also celebrated National Doctors’ Day, with all doctors actively participating in the programme today.
