MORE METRO SERVICES BETWEEN HOWRAH MAIDAN AND ESPLANADE STATIONS ON GREEN LINE-2

Due to the on-going construction work between Esplanade and Sealdah stations, services on Green Line-2 have already been revised. In order to manage the rush during the morning and evening peak hours, Metro authorities have now decided to increase services between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade stations.
At present, 150 services are plying on Green Line-2 from Monday to Saturday. Out of these, 76 services are now available between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade stations. The rest of the services are plying between Howrah Maidan and Mahakaran stations.
But from 18.11.2024 (Monday), though 150 services will be available on Green Line-2 but 82 services will be available on Howrah Maidan and Esplanade stretch on weekdays (Monday to Saturday).The rest of the services will be plying between Howrah Maidan and Mahakaran stations.
Apart from that, the frequency of services between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade will be 20 minutes instead of the present 24 minutes during morning and evening peak hours. To ensure this, additional Motormen are being deployed at the terminal stations i.e. Howrah Maidan and Esplanade stations.
First Service –
From Howrah Maidan to Esplanade on East-bound line at 06:55 hrs.
From Esplanade to Howrah Maidan on East- bound line at 07:12 hrs.
From Howrah Maidan to Mahakaran on West-bound line at 09:08 hrs.
From Mahakaran to Howrah Maidan on West-bound line at 09:20 hrs.
Last Service –
From Howrah Maidan to Esplanade on East-bound line at 21:46 hrs.
From Esplanade to Howrah Maidan on East-bound line at 21:58 hrs.
From Howrah Maidan to Mahakaran on West-bound line at 21:08 hrs.
From Mahakaran to Howrah Maidan on West-bound line at 21:20 hrs.
