EASTERN RAILWAY TO AUGMENTE SLEEPER CLASS AND AIR-CONDITIONED COACHES IN THREE EXPRESS TRAINS
Kolkata, January 15, 2024:
The augmentation of Sleeper Class coaches and Air – Conditioned class coaches in Popular Mail/Express trains is an ongoing initiative aimed at improving overall travel experience for passengers. Accordingly, in response to the overwhelming demand for tickets, Eastern Railway has decided to augment air-conditioned and Sleeper class Coaches by replacing general second class coaches in following Express trains on temporary basis: • Two Additional Sleeper Second Class Coaches will be augmented with 13147/13148 Sealdah – Bamanhat – Sealdah Uttarbanga Express by replacing of Two General Second class coaches leaving Sealdah with effect from 16.01.2025 to 31.01.2025 & leaving Bamanhat with effect from 17.01.2025 to 01.02.2025.
• One Additional Sleeper Second Class Coach will be augmented with 13149/13150 Sealdah – Alipur Duar – Sealdah Kanchankanya Express by replacing of One General Second class coach leaving Sealdah with effect from 16.01.2025 to 31.01.2025 & leaving Alipur Duar with effect from 17.01.2025 to 01.02.2025.
• One Additional Sleeper Second Class Coach and One Additional Air Conditioned (AC 3 tier) Coach will be augmented with 13189/13190 Sealdah – Balurghat – Sealdah Express by replacing of Two General Second class coaches leaving Sealdah with effect from 16.01.2025 to 31.01.2025 & leaving Balurghat with effect from 17.01.2025 to 01.02.2025
