Spiritual Evening at Urbana: Jagannath Mahotsav & Discourse by Puri Temple Chief Servitor Sri Sri Daitapati Bhabani Das Maharaj Ji

Urbana Jagannath Parivar successfully organised a spiritually uplifting event titled “Jagannath Mahotsav & Spiritual Discourse” at Urbana Club, Kolkata, bringing together members of the Urbana community in devotion, cultural tradition, and spiritual reflection under the divine blessings of Lord Jagannath.
The highlight of the evening was a profound spiritual discourse delivered by His Holiness Sri Sri Daitapati Bhabani Das Maharaj Ji, Chief Servitor of the Jagannath Temple, Puri, who shared deep insights into the spiritual significance, sacred traditions, and timeless philosophy associated with Lord Jagannath. His enlightening words inspired devotees and offered a deeper understanding of the spiritual heritage connected with the revered deity.
Prior to the programme, His Holiness Sri Sri Daitapati Bhabani Das Maharaj Ji also made himself available for an exclusive interaction with members of the media at 6:30 PM, where he shared perspectives on the spiritual relevance of Jagannath traditions and their enduring impact on devotees across generations.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Sri Daitapati Bhabani Das Maharaj Ji said, “Lord Jagannath represents universal love, compassion, and unity. Festivals such as Jagannath Mahotsav remind us that devotion transcends boundaries and brings communities together in faith and harmony. When devotees gather with sincere hearts to chant His name and remember His divine presence, it strengthens both individual spirituality and collective consciousness.”
The evening featured the sacred rituals of Jagannath Mahotsav, accompanied by soulful Bhajan and Kirtan, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere for attendees. The programme concluded with the distribution of Mahaprasad, allowing devotees to partake in the blessed offering and further strengthening the sense of spiritual unity and community bonding.
Organisers stated that the event was intended to foster a deeper spiritual connection among members of the community while celebrating the rich devotional traditions associated with Lord Jagannath.
