GENERAL MANAGER FELICITATES METRO SPORTSPERSONS

Shri Subhransu S. Mishra, General Manager, Metro Railway, felicitated 41 Metro sportspersons in recognition of their outstanding achievements in various international and national-level tournaments. The felicitation ceremony was organised by the Metro Railway Sports Association at Metro Rail Bhavan today i.e. on 30.04.2026.
Out of these, six sportspersons had the honour of representing India in prestigious international championships in the disciplines of Bridge, Chess, and Table Tennis, thereby bringing laurels to the nation. The achievers are:
• Bridge: Shri Sumit Mukherjee & Shri Sagnik Roy
• Chess: Shri Sayantan Das, Shri Mitrabha Guha & Shri Arpan Das
• Table Tennis: Miss Poymantee Baisya
Describing these sportspersons as “Our Pride”, the General Manager congratulated them for their exemplary performances. He assured continued support from Metro Railway, stating, “We are always with you. Your achievements make Metro Railway proud, and we will continue to support your pursuit of excellence.”
He further expressed confidence that these sportspersons would continue to excel in future competitions and inspire other budding talents within the Metro fraternity.
Principal Head of Departments and other Senior Officers were present in the programme to celebrate this event.
