Peoples for Animal society organized an seminar on the topic “Street Dogs : Menace or Friends” at ICCR Kolkata on 13th May 2017.
Union minister Smt. Maneka Sanjoy Gandhi well known for her love towards nature and animal life made a heart touching statement with reference to Japanese revolution. She also told that almost 18 breed of Indian Dogs are lost while they had there natural right to live.
Justice Soumitra Paul took the reference to Mahabharata and explained why dogs are called friends.
Brig. S.K. Ponwar gave a presentation to explain the point.
During the program Shri Dipankar Lahiri fall sick on the stage. Brig. Ponwar gave emergency CPR to bring him back from unconscious state then he has been shifted to near by hospital.
