PM Modi Reviews ₹30,000 Crore Infrastructure Projects, Pushes Faster Execution and Digital Governance at 52nd PRAGATI Meeting
Prime Minister Calls for Mission-Mode Resolution of Pending Issues, Stronger Cyber Crime Response and Accelerated TB Elimination Efforts
New Delhi, June 24, 2026: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired the 52nd meeting of PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation), the ICT-enabled multi-modal platform designed to strengthen coordination between the Central and State Governments for faster implementation of key projects and public grievance redressal.
The meeting, held at Seva Teerth, focused on major infrastructure projects, public health initiatives, and citizen grievances related to cyber crime and digital fraud.
₹30,000 Crore Infrastructure Projects Under Review
During the review, the Prime Minister assessed the progress of four major infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹30,000 crore spanning four states across the sectors of:
- Roads
- Power
- Industrial Corridors
- Metro Rail
The projects were examined with particular emphasis on implementation timelines, inter-agency coordination, issue resolution, and timely completion.
Prime Minister Modi stressed that delays in infrastructure development not only lead to cost escalation but also deprive citizens, industries, and regional economies of the benefits that such projects are intended to deliver.
He directed concerned Ministries and State Governments to resolve pending bottlenecks in a mission-mode approach and ensure continuous monitoring at the highest administrative levels.
Greater Focus on PM GatiShakti National Master Plan
Highlighting the importance of integrated planning, the Prime Minister emphasized wider utilization of the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan for efficient infrastructure development.
He instructed ministries and state authorities to ensure regular and timely updating of:
- Project details
- Utility information
- Infrastructure layers
- Statutory clearances
- Ground-level implementation data
According to the Prime Minister, accurate real-time information on the portal is essential for identifying bottlenecks early, improving coordination among agencies, and enabling informed decision-making.
Push for Technology-Driven TB Elimination
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, India’s flagship campaign to eliminate tuberculosis.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted the need to leverage advanced digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to improve disease monitoring, patient tracking, and healthcare delivery.
He further suggested involving:
- National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets
- MY Bharat volunteers
for awareness generation, patient follow-up, and community mobilisation efforts aimed at accelerating TB elimination across the country.
Cyber Crime and Digital Arrest Cases Under Scanner
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to reviewing public grievances related to cyber crime, online fraud, and so-called digital arrest scams, which have emerged as a growing concern across India.
The Prime Minister expressed concern over the increasing misuse of digital platforms to defraud citizens and emphasized that such cases require a coordinated, sensitive, and time-bound response from all concerned agencies.
He observed that victims of cyber fraud should not be forced to navigate multiple departments to seek assistance and called for greater accountability and ownership among stakeholders.
Faster Response and e-Zero FIR Mechanism
Prime Minister Modi stressed the importance of:
- Faster response mechanisms
- Better coordination among law enforcement agencies
- Stronger collaboration between banks and digital platforms
- Enhanced public awareness campaigns
He noted that timely intervention in cyber fraud cases is critical to preventing financial losses and restoring public confidence in digital systems.
The Prime Minister also urged states to work towards implementing the e-Zero FIR mechanism, which would allow quicker registration of cyber fraud complaints and facilitate faster investigative action.
Strengthening Governance Through PRAGATI
Launched to improve governance and project implementation, PRAGATI serves as a platform where the Prime Minister directly reviews critical infrastructure projects and public service delivery issues with senior officials from the Centre and states.
The 52nd meeting reaffirmed the government’s focus on accelerating infrastructure development, leveraging technology for public welfare, and strengthening citizen-centric governance through improved coordination and accountability.
