Unity in Action: 200 NCC Cadets Prepare for Ekta Diwas 2026 at Statue of Unity
Ekta Nagar, Gujarat: As India prepares to observe National Unity Day on October 31, 2026, a special National Integration Camp at Ekta Nagar is bringing together 200 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from all 17 NCC Directorates across the country. The camp aims to strengthen national integration and prepare the young participants for the forthcoming Ekta Diwas celebrations at the iconic Statue of Unity.
Inspired by the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose leadership was instrumental in India’s political integration, the camp promotes unity across regional, linguistic, and cultural boundaries. It highlights the role of young people in building a cohesive, confident, and inclusive nation.
Training in Discipline, Leadership and Teamwork
The intensive programme combines physical fitness, leadership development, and cultural exchange. Daily activities include physical exercises, marching drills, and yoga, designed to enhance stamina, concentration, coordination, and mental resilience.
Marching in synchronisation along the banks of the Narmada, the cadets demonstrate discipline, teamwork, and collective determination. The training also prepares them for the coordinated formations required for the National Unity Day parade.
Beyond physical training, the camp features interactive workshops, group discussions, guest lectures, and expert-led sessions. These activities focus on strengthening leadership and communication skills, ethical decision-making, and crisis-management capabilities.
Celebrating India’s Cultural Diversity
Cultural exchange is another key component of the camp. Cadets from different states are sharing their languages, traditions, regional folklore, and personal experiences, helping them develop friendships and mutual understanding beyond geographical boundaries.
These interactions reflect the national vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” — One India, Great India, which promotes stronger connections among India’s diverse communities.
Preparations for Ekta Diwas 2026
The principal focus of the camp is preparation for the Ekta Diwas parade and cultural presentations scheduled for October 31 at the Statue of Unity. Through intensive rehearsals and ceremonial formations, all 200 cadets are working towards representing the unity, discipline, and aspirations of India’s youth on a national platform.
The forthcoming celebrations are expected to feature coordinated marching contingents, national integration presentations, and ceremonial tributes.
For the participating cadets, the occasion represents more than a parade. It is an opportunity to demonstrate that India’s strength lies not in uniformity, but in the harmonious coexistence of its many cultures, languages, and traditions.
A Message of National Unity
As the countdown to National Unity Day continues, Ekta Nagar is emerging as a focal point for a message that resonates across generations: national unity grows through mutual respect, shared responsibility, and a common commitment to the country.
The participation of 200 NCC cadets underscores the importance of nurturing a generation ready to stand together, serve together, and work collectively for India’s future.

One nation. One spirit. Countless identities. An unbreakable bond.
