PM Modi Congratulates ISRO Scientists on Successful Launch of GSLV-F18 Carrying NVS-03

New Delhi, 31 October 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the scientists and engineers of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) following the successful launch of the GSLV-F18 mission carrying the NVS-03 navigation satellite.

The Prime Minister described the mission as an important milestone in strengthening India’s indigenous satellite navigation system, Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC).

According to the Prime Minister, NVS-03 comes with enhanced capabilities that are expected to further improve India’s navigation infrastructure and support the country’s efforts towards self-reliance in critical technologies.

He also highlighted the importance of the mission in strengthening navigation services for the benefit of citizens across the country.

In a message shared on social media platform X, Modi congratulated the ISRO scientists and engineers, praising their dedication, technical expertise and continued contributions to India’s space programme.

The Prime Minister noted that the achievements of India’s space scientists remain a source of national pride and reflect the country’s growing capabilities in advanced space technology.

The successful launch of GSLV-F18 carrying NVS-03 represents another significant development in India’s efforts to expand its independent satellite navigation capabilities and strengthen its position in the global space technology sector.

NavIC, India’s regional satellite navigation system, is designed to provide positioning, navigation and timing services to users in India and surrounding regions. The addition of advanced-generation navigation satellites is part of the country’s broader strategy to enhance the reliability and capabilities of this indigenous system.
