Supreme Court’s Road Safety Committee lauds Bengal for Safe Drive Save Life campaign

The Road Safety Committee of the Supreme Court has specially acknowledged Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s brainchild, the Safe Drive Save Life campaign, for reducing road accidents in Bengal.

As a part of the programme, the state Transport department has taken several steps ensuring a fall in the number of fatal accidents in the state.

In another move as a part of road safety measures, an integrated centre has come up at Behala in Kolkata to ensure automatic vehicle testing and certification, and automatic system of driving eligibility test for issuing license.
