Never in the whole year than these festive months that demands that one look one’s best and girl if you want to dazzle proper its Swarovski or bust. Recently they partnered with fashion designer Pranay Baidya to launch an exquisite festive wear 2016 collection, Crystal Galaxy in Kolkata.
Actor Parno Mittra brought in the glam standing besides Sukanya Duttaroy, Managing Director, Swarovski CGB India, while eight women achievers donned jewellery from Swarovski and sashayed with outfits from Pranay Baidya.
Those eight were Dr Rupali Basu – President and CEO, ER Apollo Hospitals Group India, Urmi Basu – Founder Trustee and Executive Director of NGO New Light Kolkata, Sneha Singhi – Restaurateur, The Paris Cafe, Laura Amalir – Wife of Stéphane Amalir Director Alliance Francaise du Bengal, Bridgette Vaswani – Rugby Player, Corina Popa – Owner The Swiss Laundry, Sana Singh – socialite, Davina Thacker – socialite, Trisha Ghosh, social influencer, Shubha Kenworthy, Artist and fashion choreographer and Devangi Parekh – Owner Azaa Fashions.
The show exhibited that be it a saree or an modern fusion ensemble, Crystal Galaxy, a collection based on interpretation of stellar influences by Creative Director, Nathalie Colin, pairs up quite well. At had to elaborate, Sukanya explained, “From constellations of stars to planets in orbit, from the colors of the cosmic night to shapes of sparkling icicles, Crystal Galaxy captures a kaleidoscope of elements into fashionable jewels”
As for the other collection – feature printed lehengas and sarees with off shoulder blouses – it showed byzantine influences – a nod to the age old traditions and practices of the Ottoman Empire & folk art. Showstopper Parno wore a Persian embroidered lehenga paired with a silk bustier.
