A PASSENGER EVACUATION MOCK DRILL CONDUCTED WITH NDRF IN METRO TUNNELS

Metro Railway always gives top priority to the safety and security of commuters. In order to check the preparedness of Metro staff to tackle any emergency in natural disasters like earthquakes, a passenger evacuation mock drill was conducted jointly with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel inside the Metro tunnels in between Kalighat and Rabindra Sarobar Metro stations on 12.11.2022 night.

 Metromen was trained and counseled by NDRF team on how to take immediate necessary action and follow procedures to rescue passengers in case of an Earthquake like disaster.
 
The objective of this mock drill was to upgrade the evacuation skills as well as check the alertness and preparedness of the Metromen during such emergencies.
Senior Metro officers and staff of different departments were present during this drill.
