Condolences to President of India Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi
Russia, 31 August 2020:Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed his condolences to President of India Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi over the death of former President Pranab Kumar Mukherjee.
“Over the years he spent as President and in other high-level government positions, Pranab Kumar Mukherjee gained the respect of his compatriots and a high international reputation. As a true friend of Russia, he made a significant personal contribution to strengthening the privileged strategic partnership between our countries.”
The President of Russia asked to convey his condolences and words of support to the family and friends of the deceased as well as to the people of India.
