The inaugural edition of Bengal Pro T20 to start from Tuesday, 11th June, 2024.
The ‘first-ever’ Bengal Pro T20 League incepted by The Cricket Association of Bengal and exclusively managed by Arivaa Sports featuring both men’s and women’s teams shall be held from June 11th to 28th June 2024, creating a landmark in the history of state-run T20 Franchise leagues in Indian Cricket.
“The inaugural day will only feature 1 men’s match in the evening slot. The women’s league shall start the next day with double headers each day and end on the same day of the men’s, that is on 28th of June, just a day before the ICC T20 World,” said Snehasish Ganguly, President of the CAB.
While the men’s matches shall commence from 11th June 2024 at the historic Eden Gardens, the women’s matches will start from 12th June at the Jadavpur University, Salt Lake Campus Ground. The exact schedule of the League shall be released closer to the dates however it is understood that most of the days there will be double headers with each team playing against each other once.
The President further added, “As per the BCCI guidelines the League cannot be held from 15th September to end of February each year, beyond which the WPL & IPL takes place, leaving the CAB left with no option but to host Bengal Pro T20 in June.”
