CITY OF JOY IS READY TO WITNESS THE FIRST OPEN AIR CONCERT IN NEW NORMAL TIME
We shall over come.Considering the new normal time we are opening our activities step by step.Now it’s time for some good music,dance and theatre.PRERNA CENTRE FOR PERFORMING ARTS in collaboration with EZCC, Kolkata presents Nava-Parichay an auspicious show on 21st September 2020, 6:30pm onwards at the open area of the venue having audience maintaining the guidelines.
We are glad to be presenting an ensemble of Music, Dance and Theatre. We have with us Shri. Ashimbandhu Bhattacharya, Smt. Paramita Maitra, Smt. Susmita Chatterjee and Smt. Luna Poddar for Kathak recitals. We also have Pt. Debashis Sarkar(Vocal), Shri. Jayanta Banerjee(Sitar), Shri. Ujjwal Bharati (Tabla) and Shri. Pulak Sarkar(Keyboards) for a musical rendition. We are also glad to be presenting “Ta Ta Thoi Thoi” by Jigir, written by Shri. Joy Basu, Acted by Shri. Bishwajit Sarkar, Direction by Shri. Niladri Sekhar Banerjee. As it is a Prerna Centre for Performing Arts initiative, we also have a Kathak group presentation by the students of PRERNA CENTRE FOR PERFORMING ARTS, disciples of Smt. Luna Poddar, showcasing various productions of choreographic brilliance under Smt. Luna Poddar, music composed by Shri. Jayanta Banerjee. Lights designed by Shri. Dinesh Poddar, whose magic creates spectacular renditions on stage.
It is the first official open-air performance post lockdown during this pandemic. As artists, it is indeed liberating to culminate culture in harmony even in such tumultuous times.
