KOLKATA, 8 JANUARY — All India Naba Chetana, a social welfare and charitable organisation comprising serving and retired bureaucrats and IPS officers, academicians, writers, doctors and many others sensible souls in the society, is moving ahead to extend its tireless activities for socioeconomic betterment among minorities and other backward classes in the state.
With the beginning of the New Year All India Naba Chetana has decided to organise a health check up camp at Nalmuri in Ghatakpukur area of South 24 Parganas district 20 January, said Mr Faruque Ahamed, convener & General Secretary of the organisation.
“We have already held several camps in different parts of the state to make people mainly belonging to minorities and other poorer sections like OBC, SC/ST, Dalits aware of good health, modern and scientific education. Apart from the health camp, we will also organise awareness campaign against the child marriage in our programme at Ghatakpur,” said Mr Ahamed.
“At this stage of religious intolerance sweeping across the country All India Naba Chetana is determined to educate the people about secular democratic fabric of our nation through these awareness programme with the help of retired and serving bureaucrats, IPS office offers like Dr Humayun Kabir, deputy inpector general of police (traffic), Scholars & Educationists like Sk Nurul Haque, IAS (Retd), Md Nizam Shamim, IPS, (Retd), doctors and academicians,” he added. Dr Kabir is the Chairman of All India Naba Chetana.
