London got her first Muslim Mayor as Mr. Sadiq Khan.

New Mayor of London hailed his victory as the triumph of

“hope over fear and unity over division”.

London voters rejected an attempts to link Mr. Khan with links to extremism and gave him decisive victory to the bus driver’s son from south London.

The Labour Party candidate got more than 1.3 million votes, 57 per cent of the total casted vote, to Conservative rival Zac Goldsmith’s 43 per cent, after first and second preferences of voters’ were allocated.
