Pailan College of Management & Technology (PCMT) organized a two-day National Conference on Computing, Electronics & Electrical Engineering TECH – MEET 2016 recently. The endeavour graced by Prof. Dr Ajoy Kumar Ray, Director, IEEST Shibpur, as Chief Guest & Prof Dr. Mita Banerjee, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, The West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training, Education Planning and Administration, as Guest of Honour assembled brightest minds – faculties and research students amongst NIT Calicut, IIT Dhanbad, IIT Guwahati, IEEST Shibpur and many such tech industries and R & D centres from across the country.
Researchers presented their documents – emergent ideas for technological advancements – 40 papers were read in all before 130 participants, out of which the best 8 was selected by journal committee and forwarded to earmarked international journals who then would judge the merit leading to actual publication.
Eminent academicians and industry experts from ISN Dhanbad, Jdavpur Uni etc. shared their treasure trove of knowledge through 6 seminars.
The conference was technically sponsored by the Power & Energy Society (PES), Computer Chapter, Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) of IEEE (the largest professional body in the world of Engineers and Scientists) Kolkata Section, which has its jurisdiction over almost the whole of eastern and north eastern India and by Computer Society of India (CSI).
Two lecture meetings one by Professor (Dr) Chandan Sarkar,Chairman IEEE Kolkata section, and another by distinguished lecturer of IEEE Professor (Dr) Biswajit Ghosh, Director of School of Energy Studies, Jadavpur University and a distinguished expert in Non-Conventional Energy Systems in India were very well received. The later spoke on development of engineering materials and development of renewable energy sources.
