The Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri Darjeeling Mail was today stopped at Dankuni station after a lady passenger reported of an unattended bag underneath her seat, which she suspected was containing a bomb, Railway officials said.
A lady passenger of AC 3-tier coach number B2 informed the Railway Police shortly after the train left Sealdah at 10.05 PM that there was an unattended bag underneath her seat and she suspected that there was a bomb in it, said an Eastern Railway spokesman.
“The train was stopped at Dankuni station. Sniffer dogs and bomb squad personnel were rushed in and after their initial search, no explosives were found. A through search is now underway,” the spokesperson added.
It could be suspect only but after through search we only come to know about the fact.
