Selena Quintanilla-Perez was born on April 16, 1971 and died on March 31, 1995 was an American singer, songwriter, spokesperson, actress, and fashion designer.

She was the best lady Tejano singer and peaked on top of the mountain of success with her gifted voice.She would now have been the the heart of Mexico,but with great disappointment it has to be said that she was murdered on March 31,1995 at the age 23 by her die-heart fan Yolanda Salvidar.
