IBG News had reported earlier about LG India Tech show that took place in Mumbai this April end (https://ibgnews.com/lg-showcases-signature-series-at-tech-show-2016/). The same CES made its debut in Kolkata today a couple of days back.

We were now first-hand witness to its latest Signature Series lineup comprising OLED 4K TV with Dolby Vision, Twin Wash Washing Machine, Knock-on Door-in-Door Refrigerator and Air Purifier as well as Smart phone LG Stylus 2 Plus  and CordZero  Handstick Vacuum Cleaner.

While Tv sets and washing machines are its best sellers, it has taken a sizable hit in Smartphone.  Overall, though picture from the east is decent – 14% of contribution to India turnover comes from this sector as opposed to about 12% for rest. And they are set to step it up this year with adding 3 more outlets to its existing 12, aiming at 21% increment in growth rate and 2000 Cr INR turnover, up from 1650 Cr INR. India turnover last year stood at 20,000 Cr INR.
