When Italy was just settling down after the the jolt of an earthquake in the East Myanmar just got the company of the natural disaster from the nature an 6.8 magnitude of shaking was for North East India,Bangladesh and Myanmar with the center of the devastation.
A powerful 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar on Wednesday at around 4: 10 pm IST, killing at least one person and damaging pagodas in the ancient city of Bagan, officials said.
“A 22 year-old man was killed when a nearby building collapsed during the earthquake,” said Han Zaw Win, a local MP from Magway told AFP, adding that a woman was injured.
Back in India tremors were felt in West Bengal, Bihar, Assam and other Northeastern states. Mild tremors were felt in Northern India as well. Kolkata was out in the street out of fear and Metro services were temporarily suspended in Kolkata for safty reason from 16:08 to 16-49 IST.
According to European Mediterranean Seismological Centre, earthquake tremors of magnitude of around 7 was felt 190 km SW of Mandalay in Myanmar at 91km depth.
