That, that 60 cars steered by 250 corporate employees across 60 companies’ equal one great excitement while being India’s biggest corporate motoring event was evident quite clearly at ‘Bridgestone Corporate Treasure Hunt’ recently organized by ‘Kolkata on Wheels’ with an greater aim of promoting safe driving in the city of Kolkata specially amongst the corporate sector under ‘Safe Drive Save Life’ initiative.
That pleasant Sunday August morn proceedings was flagged off by Debashis Sen; Principal Secretary, Urban Development Dept., Govt. of West Bengal & Honorable Chairman, WBHIDCO Ltd., from Rabindra Tirtha, New Town.
Seven clues were given to the participating teams, correct
answers of which led the participants to seven destinations in the
city covering a distance of 80 km. The competitors also had to reply
to 6 questions and collect 3 scavenger items during the run. All clues
and instructions were delivered to the competitors digitally using
different media and devices by the organizers.
The top 5 winners were selected on the basis of maximum points scored. The prize distribution ceremony was held in Rabindra Tirtha. Addressing the objective of this motor sport, Souvik Ghosh, Convener of the event said, “The ultimate motif behind this event was to essentially promote the city of Kolkata vividly, among the corporate sector through a fun filled motoring event. And not to forget the ‘Safe Drive, Save Life’ quotient, since
we’re holistically promoting the same. We would like people to absorb
the safety initiatives. We are extremely overwhelmed by the
participation of over 60 corporate houses which made it the biggest
corporate motoring meet ever held in Eastern India”.
