It has more Youtube viewership than Miss India declared the staple beaming face of Tata Crucible – The Corporate Quiz’ quizmaster, Giri ‘Pickbrain’ Balasubramaniam, before launching into the Eastern Zonal Finals.
This immensely popular two-member team contest which commenced in 2004 has been judged the highest rated ground quiz in a commissioned research amongst the participants.
The recent Zonal leg saw Abhishek Chakroborty and Rabi Shankar Saha of Capgemini, who earlier were able winners of the city round, thus claiming both winners cheques of 75,000 INR and 35,000/ INR respectively. Runners-up were J.Rahul and AGK Murthy from Vizag Steel.
“I’ve trying for the last 10-11 years including both Campus and Crucible to make the nationals, I’m happy to make it”. Immediately later he was heard discussing the formidable opponents that they’re going to meet with his office colleagues.
As is wont, the Eastern Region, which saw Jharkand, Bokaro, Ranchi brought into the gambit this year, had some sitters, while few were really top-class as can be expected. We’re withholding those to prevent spoilers.

6 teams will be vying for grand prize to be held in Mumbai on October 2nd will receive 500,000 INR as prize money, the coveted Tata Crucible Trophy and will stand to drive home Tata Motors’ Bolt car.
