Kolkata Police introduces app for pandal-hoppers during Durga Puja
Kolkata Police has introduced the updated Android based mobile application “KOLKATA POLICE SMART PUJA GUIDE ”. Released last year, the App has been updated on September 2016.
The Commissioner of Kolkata Police on Monday unveiled the road map to guide pandal hoppers and the mobile phone app has also been introduced using which one can easily get direction to reach his or her destination. The most important part of the app is that photograph and information of a missing child can be uploaded in it. Some children go missing in the crowd during Durga Puja. Introduction of the app would help the police return the children to their parents easily.
This App will provide also Puja Pandal related information to the citizens during Pujas.
The application, Utsav app, will provide to its uses news and updates, the nearest Durga Puja which is around the place you are in, the road and route maps of different puja pandas and the the time to drive to a paju pandal from your current location.
The application is also providing the contact number, address and theme of different puja pandals.

পুজো প্যান্ডেল পরিদর্শনের জন্য মোবাইল অ্যাপ চালু করেছে কলকাতা পুলিশ
শারদীয়ার দিনগুলি শান্তিপূর্ণ ভাবে উপভোগ করার জন্য কলকাতা পুলিশ গত বছর নাগরিকদের সাহায্যার্থে একটি বিশেষ মোবাইল অ্যাপলিকেশন ‘কলকাতা পুলিশ স্মার্ট পূজা গাইড’ চালু করেছে। ২০১৬-র সেপ্টেম্বর মাসে অ্যাপটি আপডেট করা হয়েছে।
সোমবার কলকাতা পুলিশের কমিশনার পূজা গাইড ম্যাপের পাশাপাশি উৎসব অ্যাপ্লিকেশনটিরও সূচনা করলেন। এর মাধ্যমে সাধারণ মানুষ সহজেই তার গন্তব্যে পৌঁছাতে পারবেন। অ্যাপ্লিকেশন সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অংশ হল – কেউ হারিয়ে গেলে তার ছবি সহ যাবতীয় তথ্য এই অ্যাপ্লিকেশনে আপলোড করা যাবে। পূজা ভিড়ের মধ্যে অনেক সময়ই শিশুরা হারিয়ে যায়। অ্যাপ্লিকেশনের তথ্যের মাধ্যমে সহজেই পুলিশ সেইসব হারিয়ে যাওয়া শিশুদের তাদের বাবা-মায়ের কাছে পৌঁছে দিতে পারবে।
পুজোর সময় পুজো প্যান্ডেল সংক্রান্ত সবরকম তথ্যও পাওয়া যাবে এই অ্যাপটিতে।এই মোবাইল অ্যাপ্লিকেশনটির মাধ্যমে চারপাশের সব পূজামণ্ডপের সন্ধানের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সেখানে যাওয়ার দিকনির্দেশ পাওয়া যাবে।বিভিন্ন পুজো মণ্ডপগুলির ঠিকানা, উদ্যোক্তাদের ফোন নম্বর ও প্যান্ডেলটি কোন থিমের ওপর করা হয়েছে সেই সংক্রান্ত সব তথ্যও পাওয়া যাবে এই অ্যাপটিতে।
যেকোনো অ্যান্ড্রোয়েড ফোনের গ্রাহক তার ফোন থেকে এটি ব্যবহার করতে পারবেন। স্মার্টফোনে গুগল প্লে স্টোর থেকে অ্যাপটি ডাউনলোড করতে হবে।
এছাড়া পুজোতে নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা জোরদার করতে কলকাতা পুলিশ তার একমাত্র ড্রোন ওড়ানোর সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে।পুজো উপলক্ষে বিধাননগর কমিশনারেট এলাকায় ২৮ টি সি সি টি ভি ক্যামেরা বসানো হচ্ছে। সেক্টর ফাইভ ও ভি আই পি রোডের দিকে পর্যাপ্ত নজরদারির জন্য পুজোর আগেই এগুলো চালু করা হবে।সব মিলিয়ে দুর্গা পুজো ও মহরম উপলক্ষে কলকাতা পুলিশ শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে ৭৬ টি অস্থায়ী ক্যামেরা বসিয়েছে। পুজোর দিনগুলোতে ভিড়ের মধ্যে শিশুদের হারিয়ে যাওয়া রুখতে দুটি মিসিং পার্সনস স্কোয়াড থাকছে।পুজোর দিনগুলোতে শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে অপ্রীতিকর পরিস্থিতির মোকাবিলায় ২১ টি কুইক রেসপন্স টিম, ২৫ টি হেভি রেডিও ফ্লায়িং স্কোয়াড, ২৫ টি ডিভিশনাল মোবাইল ভ্যান ও ৮৬ টি ওয়াচ টাওয়ার থাকবে।
