Modern agro-science technologies to be used for better cultivation in Singur
The State Agriculture Department will introduce modern agro-science-based technologies for better cultivation of the 997 acres of land in Singur, in consultation with farmers to develop a new arena of agro-economy.
The State Government will be providing all sorts of support to the farmers until the first crop is harvested.
The State Irrigation Department would ensure sufficient supply of water for agriculture in the entire area. The Panchayat Department will also be completing a set of work that needs to be done for the benefits of the farmers.
Initially, the farmers in Singur have been recommended to cultivate spinach and mustard as it would help in preparing the soil for cultivation of potato.

সিঙ্গুরের ৯৯৭ একর জমিতে ভালোভাবে চাষের জন্য এবং সিঙ্গুরের কৃষি-অর্থনীতির উন্নয়নের জন্য আধুনিক কৃষি-প্রযুক্তির মাধ্যমে কৃষকদের প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা গ্রহণ করেছে রাজ্য কৃষি দপ্তর।
রাজ্য সরকার কৃষকদের সবরকম সহায়তা প্রদান করবে যতদিন না পর্যন্ত প্রথম ফসল তোলা হয়।
রাজ্য সেচ দপ্তর ওই এলাকায় প্রয়োজনীয় জল সরবরাহ করবে। পঞ্চায়েত দপ্তরও কৃষকদের উন্নতির জন্য বেশ কিছু উদ্যোগ নিতে চলেছে।
প্রাথমিকভাবে, সিঙ্গুরে কৃষকদের পালংশাক ও সর্ষে চাষ করতে সুপারিশ করা হয়েছে।
