Indian Sports Icon and Olympic silver medalist P.V. Sindhu made her mark with the maiden Super Series Premier title after derailed out Sun Yu of China in the finals of the USD 700K China Open badminton tournament.
Sindhu, the first Indian women badminton player to win a silver medal at Rio Olympics 2016 Games, won the prestigious title after passing Sun with 21-11 17-21 21-11 in the final clash that went for an hour and nine minutes.
At present World No. 11 Sindhu moved all over the court at the Haixia Olympic Sports Center made the day for her and all Indians as a whole.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has congratulated Badminton player P V Sindhu for her first super series title in the China Open.
