Mamata Banerjee to visit Delhi today to carry on demonetisation protest
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is slated to visit Delhi today to continue the anti-demonetisation protests. She is scheduled to meet President Pranab Mukherjee to discuss issues related to Bengal.
Mamata Banerjee has already announced a state-wide campaign Modi Hatao Desh Bachao last week while addressing the media in Kolkata. The eight-day campaign will begin from January 1, coinciding with the foundation day of the Trinamool Congress, and will continue for a week.
Mamata Banerjee has been opposing Centre’s demonetisation move and demanding its rollback since the beginning and held protest dharna in Delhi besides holding protest meetings in Lucknow and Patna last month.
