Workshop on Santhal Pata (Santhal Pata Painting of Jadu Pata Series of Santhal Communities of Medinipur) organised by West Bengal State Akademi of Dance Drama Music and Visual Arts, Rabindra Bharati University in collaboration with Lalit Kala AkademiKolkata, December 29, 2016: A workshop on Santhal Pata (Santhal Pata Painting of Jadu Pata Series of Santhal Communities of Medinipur) has been organised by the West Bengal State Akademi of Dance Drama Music and Visual Arts, Rabindra Bharati University in collaboration with the Lalit Kala Akademi. The workshop was inaugurated today by Prof. Sabyasachi Basu Ray Chaudhury, Vice Chancellor, Rabindra Bharati University, and Chairman, West Bengal State Akademi of Dance Drama Music and Visual Arts at the Department of Visual Arts, Rabindra Bharati University at 56A B T Road, Kolkata. Also present at the inauguration were Shri Siddhartha Ghosh, Secretary, Regional Centre, Kolkata, Lalit Kala Akademi and Prof. Aditya Prasad Mitra, Dean, Faculty of Visual Arts, Rabindra Bharati University.The workshop will be held at the Jorasanko Campus of the Rabindra Bharati University from December 30, 2016 to January 2, 2017, between 11 am and 4 pm daily. It will be conducted by Shri Dukhushyam Chitrakar and Smt. Swarna Chitrakar, with assistance from Shri Rubban Chitrakar and Shri Sambhu Chitrakar, who were all present at the inauguration.
