Air India celebrates International Womens Day at Kolkata
Air India Eastern Region celebrated International Women’s Day with cultural and creative engagements for its women employees. Cutting across hierarchy, women employees participated in a day-long programme at Airlines House, Kolkata. Starting with a musical performance by employees, mask-making and food-sculpting competitions supervised by external experts were held.
To commemorate the occasion, Air India had also operated 20 all-women crew flights on its domestic and international sectors all over the network, including a joyride for underprivileged women associated with the aviation sector who have never flown before. The national carrier had created history by operating an all women crew flight around the world on the longest ever Delhi – San Francisco – Delhi route.
