Vehicle Recall Policy
At present, there is no recall policy in the country. However, the Industry has announced a voluntary code on vehicle recall in July 2012. Society of Indian Automobiles Manufacturers (SIAM) has shared the details of vehicles recalled voluntary by the Industry as per Annexure.
There is, at present, no such proposal under consideration in the Department of Heavy Industry to bring fine for faulty vehicles.
