Late doctor Saroj Gupta the founder of Thakurpukur Cancer Research Center need no introduction as a legendary cancer specialist but he was a fine author of different literary media too, is lesser known outside his fraternity.
His family and friends which includes legend Soumitra Chatterjee, Goutam Ghosh, Jagannath Bose and Urmimala Bose joined hands to release a book collecting some works of Doctor Gupta.
The evening was nostalgic for every one who knows and even not know Doctor Gupta personally.
Dr. Saroj Gupta Rachana Sangraha got published in hand of legendary actor Soumitra Chattopdhyay, also in presence of ace film maker Goutam Ghosh, notable elocutionists Jagannath Basu and Urmimala Basu at Nandan-4 Yesterday. It was initiated by the Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre and Research Institute ,Thakurpukur, Kolkata. The book has been published by Dey’s Publishing. Royalties earned will be used for helping child patients of the hospital.
