City of Joy has many reasons to sock with musical & cultural events year around but monsoon is special one to cherish.
Tanmoy Kar presented a musical evening to welcome monsoon in city on 17 June,2017 at Uttam Mancha .what could be more fittest medium to celebrate monsoon except music.
Renowned singer RUPANKAR mesmerized audience with some monsoon melodies besides his all time hits while ace elocutionist BRATATI BANDYOPADHYAY presented recitations of renowned poets featuring monsoon as its theme.
Dancer Haimanti Basu came up with a dazlling performance with her dance. Be it songs,dance or recitation all will celebrate monsoon in city.After these hot days of summer we all wait for rains which comes up with a fresh air in our life. All creative souls got inspired by the season monsoon and created all time hit songs, poetries and so on.
So this evening was meant for a slice of feel good monsoon on stage.
The main attraction was the first time jugalbandi between Bratati Bandyopadhyay and Rupankar on Tagore songs and recitations. They never performed together before. To try something different they planned to team up on this special performance. Bratati Bandyopadhyay was amazing while performing Jhuloan, followed by Rupankar’s rendition Aji Jhorer Raate Tomar Abhisar.
Alokananda Roy, the renowned dancer Riddhi Bandyopadhyay , noted singer graced the evening by her august presence.
