The felicitation of the Winners of International Karate Championship
Kolkata 22nd June 2017: KARATE ASSOCIATION OF BENGAL also known as KAB is an affiliated member KARATE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA & BENGAL OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION. KAB is presently in 19 District of West Bengal and affiliated Styles members also.
KAB has created history after 34 years Bengal and has become the Best State in KAI championship by Winning 8 gold, 3 silver and 14 Bronze Medals.

KAB touched another mile stone at the first when at the 14th Okinawa Goju- RYU Karate Open International Championship Competition, organized by Karate Association of India which was from 5th to 7th May, 2017 at Indoor Stadium , Seri, Manjung, Peark, Malaysia where a mother Mrs Nawneet Priya Lodha and her son Master Prakher Lodha (9yrs) from the same family won Gold medals in the competition Mrs Nawneet Priya Lodha won Gold in KATA competition and Master Prakher Lodha won Gold Medal in KUMITA and bronze medal in KATA
KAB was also announced the Best team by winning 18 gold, 8 silver and 14 bronze medals in this tournament. Sanchari Roy, Drishita Paul ,Suniti Patwary and Nathan D’Souza were others who also were winners at the tournament. Pratay Sarkar ,Ayushman Roy, Arinjita Dey were winners of the KAI tournament .
Shihan Premjit Sen , is name well known in Karate fraternity. He himself holds many Ranks in the World as he is also the First Indian to become a Technical Commission Member of South Asian Karate Federation. Shihan Premjit Sen is also World Karate Federation Coach & Judge, Asian Karate Federation Senior Referee & Judge and , Tournament Director of KAI.
Speaking on the occasion Shihan Premjit Sen said that ‘‘I always think that it’s not about me and me .What I believe is about us. Under our guidance and support both in technical and practical at present KAB has produced 7 AKF Judges. Players from Bengal have made not only Bengal proud but also India too as they have also won medals in South Asian Championships, Commonwealth Karate Championship and Asian Karate Federation.”Shihan Premjit Sen aslo announced the 3rd World Karate Championship which will be held on 29th and 30th of July 2017 at Netaji Indoor Stadium.
