BARSHA UTSAV & RELEASE OF JIBON GAAN BY BRATATI BANDYOPADHYAY

There are few milestones you have to cross to understand the City of Joy Kolkata;one such mile stone is cultural activity at her best. Singing,Dancing , Theaters and Art are the front runner for representing Kolkata and her culture. But equally one important aspect of this artistic act is recitations. Bratati Bandopadhyay is already an institution and name in her own rights for this recitation world.
On Monday Bratati Parampara & Abrittilok,Kolkata presented an evening of poetry of monsoon in Barsha Utsav at Shishir Mancha, today. Students of Kabyayan all the way from Chinsurah,Shrirampur, Salt Lake, Golf Green and so on besides students of Abrittilok from Kolkata will mesmerized the evening with poetries of monsoon.
There was a special performance solo recitations by Bratati Bandyopadhyay followed by Surjyabartya directed by noted elocutionist Pranati Tagore. The celebration was conceived by noted elocutionist Soumitra Mitra.
Every one got socked in the rain outside while none left dry in their eyes after the performances out of respect for the artists. The very special attraction of the evening was the release of audio cd “Jibon-Gaan” by Bratati Bandyopadhyay on Asha Audio. It features poetries revolving around the essence of music and the same was released by Pandit Ajay Chakraborty in august presence of
Joy Goswami,Srijato, Subodh Sarkar, Srikanta Acharya, Jayati Chakraborty, Urmimala Basu,Pratyush Banerjee, Mahua Lahiri ( Asha Audio) and so on.
