Trinamool leads protest in Parliament against removal of subsidy on LPG
Trinamool Congress today raised the issue of hike in prices of LPG in Parliament. The prices of subsidised cooking gas cylinders will be increased by Rs 4 every month; and all subsidies will be eliminated by March 2018.
Leader of the Party in Rajya Sabha, Derek O’Brien raised the issue during Zero Hour while Sudip Bandyopadhyay, who is the Leader of the Party in Lok Sabha, raised the issue in the House of the People.
Trinamool protested against this anti-people step taken by the Government and demanded that the decision be withdrawn immediately. Yesterday, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had lashed out against the Centre on Twitter. She wroted, “I am really concerned about the commoner. Earlier, subsidy was withdrawn on LPG and now again. BJP does not care about the people. They only care about money. How can the BJP not carry out their social obligation? Where is their commitment to society at large? The BJP makes public commitments and then deviates from all.”
