Independence day is a day for celebration any where in the world and Kolkata is no exception to that. Garia area residents celebrated the day at the stuck of mid night with the National Flag hosting by the TMC leaders at C5 bus stand. Leaders like Bibhas Mukherjee,Papai Dutta, Samarjit Banerjee and Biswajit Sau were present at the occasion.
Firdousi Begam local MLA of Sonarpur North has been felicitated at the occasion.
Polly Chakraborty sang the song to the tune of patriotism while Kakoli Tewai Bhattacharjee made the occasion colorful through her dance as a member of Nirtyasree Kala Kendra.
