Food has always been an important ingredient of Durga Puja celebrations, but for patients in hospitals, that isn’t so. Now there is good news for them too.The Bengal Health Department has come up with the idea of providing special food to the patients at all the State Government-run hospitals and medical college hospitals across the state during the days of the Durga Puja, that is, from Saptami to Dashami.

The decision was taken by the Health Department so that the patients can have something different at least during the four Puja days. It will break their monotony of having same food every day.

On the other three days, patients will have a choice between fish or chicken, and rice, dal and a vegetable curry. The Bengalis’ favourite payesh will be in the menu too.
